FILTER-MATE® SOFTNER CLEANER is a unique blend of chemicals formulated to remove iron, tannins, manganese, silt, metal particles, oil, dirt, debris and other organic compounds that cause softener's to be fouled and inefficient. Regular use of FILTER-MATE® SOFTNER CLEANER as a maintenance program will restore the softener back to peak capacity and efficiency while maintaining the life of the unit.

FILTER-MATE® SOFTNER CLEANER is a safe & environmentally friendly cleaning agent. FILTER-MATE® SOFTNER CLEANER also removes hard water deposits from many household items - ice machines, coffee makers, dishwashers, ultra violet filters, humidifiers and distillers.

Cleaning Tips

FILTER-MATE® SOFTNER CLEANER contains Citric Acid and is safe and environmentally friendly.

WATER SOFTENER-FIRST APPLICATION

Dissolve 2 cups of FILTER-MATE® SOFTENER CLEANER in 1 quart of warm water. Pour into brine well. Softeners with no brine well, pour directly into salt storage tank when salt level is low. Manually regenerate softener. Repeat as needed.

PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE

Add ½ cup of FILTER-MATE® SOFTENER CLEANER to every 40 lbs. of salt added to brine tank. Layer to ensure a continuous dose of FILTER-MATE® SOFTENER during each regeneration.

ADJUSTING pH

The correct feed rate of FILTER-MATE® SOFTENER CLEANER is reached when the pH of the treated water is between 7.0 and 8.0. Follow procedure for injecting solution into water system specified by the chemical feed pump manufacturer or supplier.

DISHWASHER

With machine empty, add ½ cup of FILTER-MATE® SOFTENER CLEANER instead of soap. Run normal cycle. Repeat if needed.

GENERAL PURPOSE CLEANER

Use ½ cup of FILTER-MATE® SOFTENER CLEANER per 1 gallon of warm water. Soak or apply solution to item for 1-5 minutes. FILTER-MATE® SOFTENER CLEANER can also be applied by wetting area and sprinkling the product on a damp cloth or sponge. Rub gently until stains are gone. Rinse thoroughly. For stubborn stains, increase strength and/or contact time.
